The second half of the D-block elements are on this side of the page at left, which periods are aligned with those of the P-block at the hinge.
Above the D-block, the group name "Transition Metal" matches the colors of the giant letters filling the element databoxes below.
This P-block side of the Main Group page at the right carries most of the Alexander Arrangement of Elements patented downslant.
The downslant allows the ends of one period to connect with the beginning element of the next period, so a Braille user need never to lift a finger!
The H above is also slanting - to connect the right edge of the H databox atop the S-block to He on the P-block, completing the first period.
